About EvolvOptic
Formed from two trusted names in optical fabrication, EvolvOptic delivers large-format and complex optical components with precision, speed, and partnership at its core.
Our Story
Evolvoptic's story began in Rochester, NY—an enduring hub of American optics innovation. Our roots trace back to 1945 with the founding of Fischer Optical, and over the decades, a lineage of companies including Bunnington Corporation, HJF Optical, and Advanced Glass Industries helped shape our foundation of expertise.
In 1975, Glass Fab was established as an independent precision optics manufacturer, quickly earning a reputation for craftsmanship, consistency, and customer service. For nearly five decades, Glass Fab operated alongside AGI, each growing into respected leaders in the Rochester optics community.
In 2025, these two companies came together to form Evolvoptic, uniting complementary capabilities and shared values under one brand. With this merger, we carry forward a legacy of high-volume, high-precision optics manufacturing—while expanding into next-generation systems with greater agility, scalability, and technical depth.
Though our name is new, our commitment to quality, responsiveness, and collaboration runs deep. We've always been known for being easy to work with—now, we're better equipped than ever to deliver optics that meet your specs, your schedule, and your mission.

Our Mission
At EvolvOptic, our mission is to be the most trusted partner in optical component manufacturing—delivering precision, speed, and responsiveness across every project we touch.
We exist to support engineers, program managers, and system integrators who need reliable components and real communication—without compromise. Our job isn't just to machine optics. It's to make your job easier, your timelines more realistic, and your performance more predictable.
We're committed to pushing forward—whether that means upgrading our equipment, expanding our material offerings, or rethinking how we communicate and collaborate. EvolvOptic is here to help build the next generation of optical systems with clarity, trust, and purpose.

Our Facility
EvolvOptic operates from a newly expanded manufacturing facility in Rochester, New York, bringing together decades of optical manufacturing expertise under one roof. By consolidating the heritage operations of Glass Fab and Advanced Glass Industries into a single, purpose-built location, we've created a more efficient, scalable manufacturing environment designed to better serve our customers.
Our expanded facility increases production capacity, streamlines workflows, and enhances collaboration across every stage of manufacturing. From optical glass materials and blanks to precision lenses, mirrors, windows, prisms, and complex optical assemblies, we support projects ranging from prototype development to high-volume production with the quality, responsiveness, and technical expertise our customers expect.
Built on a legacy of precision and driven by continued investment, EvolvOptic is positioned to deliver the manufacturing scale, capability, and innovation needed for the next generation of optical systems.

Proven Quality, Built In
At EvolvOptic, quality isn't a department—it's a mindset that runs through every stage of production. From raw material evaluation to final inspection, our processes are designed to deliver consistent results, tight tolerances, and confidence in every component.
We maintain detailed inspection records, track melt-lot data, and verify key specifications like homogeneity, birefringence, and dimensional accuracy—all in-house. Our experienced team works closely with your engineers to understand and meet your project's specific quality requirements.

Precision with Purpose
Sustainability at EvolvOptic is about making smart, responsible choices—from how we source materials to how we build for long-term reliability. By manufacturing components that last, minimizing waste in production, and optimizing our material use, we help our customers—and our industry—reduce the cost of inefficiency.
Our lean operating model reduces excess, while in-house capabilities allow us to control waste and avoid unnecessary shipping or rework. We're committed to growing in a way that balances performance, resource stewardship, and long-term resilience.
